POLAR ATTRACTION

ICE ICE BABY:

As we mentioned earlier, the Chanel show had its own body of water complete with an imported iceberg.  A set created with snow and ice.  The temperature was kept to -4 degrees celsius.

The signature look for Chanel this F/W 2010, iconic designer Karl Lagerfeld created a faux fur similar to that of  polar bears:  shaggy.  He made long coats, pants and boots (knee highs and gaiters) showcasing the synthetic fabric.

Unkle Karl also infused the collection with real wearable pieces: fuzzy tweeds, knits and snowy white sweaters, some made into dresses.  A white dress with school girl collar stood out.  Black tweed skirts and blouses furnished with a black menswear-like tie kept things polished.   Skirt length was a standard mid-thigh. He ended the show with long dresses in that ivory Chanel signature  color and yards of lace and tulle.
