SARTORIAL STYLE FOR SUMMER

We get TONS of emails. Topics range from: clothing advice; what are we wearing for summer; dressing for a summer event.

So here it is!! The items that we are all about for Summer 2011.

We keep things very simple for summer. One, it is too hot to be worrying about wearing a bunch of shit. Two, simple is best. No thinking, no endless time-consuming hours changing three or four times before leaving the house.

For summer and fall, we always buy Hane's V-neck t-shirts in a three-pack. Available at any mass retailer.

They are perfect alone or under a polo shirt or dress oxford to keep perspiration and body oils at bay and transferring on to your good clothes.

Also, a nod to Ty Pennington. He always wears white Hanes and looks sooooo HOT in them too!!

Our one obsession for Summer 2011 was this Polo Ralph Lauren banner stripe cricket polo. When we first saw it, we were creaming over it. Our love for Ralph Lauren and his iconic symbols runs very, very deep. As the weeks went by, we were dreaming about it, then, finally, it consumed every second of our waking day. That is when we knew, we had to beak down and get it! Polo psychotic, we know. OMG, if you only knew!! It happens every season and not just with Polo but Burberry, Prada, Energie, Chip & Pepper and........

This will match perfectly with the two pants (we'll talk about those later in the post) we have selected for the whole summer.

For summers, we love the Polo Ralph Lauren grosgrain belts. We have a TON of them and in various, festive colors ( one in: lime green, blue, pink, yellow, our favorite). They look great with said plain white V-neck ts and a pair of jeans. It offers that pop of color between the blue of the jean and the white of the shirt with the brown suede of the buck.

We acquired the Polo Ralph Lauren madras pants last year (Summer 2010) from their website. They are the perfect pant from Memorial Day to Labor Day weekend. Any family function, the country club, drinks with friends. And, you won't see yourself coming and going. Have you ever worn Diesel to The Abbey? Hello, all those queens and you look like HOMOgenized clones. This pant is original and it gets you noticed.

It teams perfectly with the white V-neck shirt. The t-shirt showcases the pant. The pants are the star attraction, so let it shine!

And, to give your occasion an extra notch of Polo cuntiness, team the madras pants with the cricket polo and the grosgrain belt. It screams RICH BITCH!

These Levi Capital E jeans are THE utilitarian jean item for summer. They ground the V-necks Ts and grosgrain belt perfectly.

To change it up, the cricket polo is the perfect match with these bootcut jeans. The shirt pops. It is the center attraction. The look doesn't need any more star players. The polo can be tucked in or out. If you do tuck the cricket polo in, go with one of the more neutral-colored grosgrain belts, say in a primary blue, like above.

The Bass Brockton Suede Bucks are a no-brainer!! They are the shoe for summer. The end-all, no discussion, no debate. DONE!

It's definitely a notch above a tired pair of loafers or a pair of sneakers, like Adidas Originals or Pumas. Plus, it's too hard looking for the correct trainer to go with the madras pants without looking all crazy. (We do have a perfect sneaker to go with the pants, a RLX silver trainer circa. 1997. But, that is beside the point; it just confuses the issue of how we are trying to keep this post and the wardrobe simple.)

The suede bucks go with all the above outfits-- perfectly.

There is no time consumption with trying to figure out the "right" shoe to pull off these looks.

This is THE "right" shoe. For day, for dinner, for a night out drinking at Fiesta or Here, these shoes work.

Pairs perfectly with the madras pants or the Levi Capital E's!!

There it is. Our summer wardrobe. Perfect for traveling too. How many pieces is that, 6? That easy. That simple.

Spend all that other saved wasted wardrobe time on the hunky boyfriend. He'll think you look so cute, you may not stay dressed long in any of the above. Oh well, the life of a clotheshorse!!

Fabulous, darling
