HAUTE GOING ON TOUR

THE VORTEX is receiving some help from major designers on her upcoming tour with the costumes.

THE VADGESTY has teamed up again with designer/stylist Arianne Phillips. This relationship has spanned together for more than 11 years.

Phillips stated: “Normally we prep in April and May, and open in June. This time, the tour begins in August. It’s a nightmare. Everyone in Italy and France is on a beach sunning themselves.

Phillips also snitches, "Givenchy’s Riccardo Tisci designed two outfits and Tom Ford provided bespoke suits for the band. Three pairs of shoes have been custom-made by Miu Miu, there are thigh-high boots courtesy of Stella McCartney, sunglasses from Moschino, and other outfits and odds and ends from Yves Saint Laurent, Roberto Cavalli, and Jeremy Scott."

The tour has four sections....

Part 1 will draw on gangsta pimp and Art Deco influences with Givenchy costumes. The dominatrix theme will be prevalent throughout the entire concert. THE OVER-ACHIEVER is not afraid of looking hard.

Part 2 is named "Old School." It reflects THE VORTEX's earlier days in NYC. This section will execute Keith Haring vintage prints. He was a personal friend of the singer who died of AIDS in 1990. Rumor had it that she helped with some of his medical bills and she has helped alot of her friends financially who were sick with the disease. Phillips quips: " He and Madonna and Madonna were friends. If he were alive, it ould be his 50th birthday as well. So I thought, 'What if we revisited that?'"

Part 3 will have a gypsy influence.

Part 4 will be inspired by a futurisitc rave look with lots of Japanese influences.

THE VADGE being 50 years-old and going forward has little effect on her sense of fashion adventure: "She always wants to push the envelope. There are no vanity considerations based on her age…She looks good in everything,” exclaimed Phillips.

Does this make you wanna see the show more????
