Patty Cakes pulled out the Gucci and the gel for the 2010 BAFTA Awards.

PUNK 2.0

McQ a secondary line by the late Alexander McQueen was a critical success for its Fall 2010 showing.

The collection was inspired by the punk movement circa. 1980 in the UK. That skinny silhouette, bright color washes and checks are the ingredients of the looks.

It's sad that a tragedy brought this outcome but sales for McQueen's clothing has jumped to 1400%.

Fashion Night Out 2010 will be televised... 5 days later.

CBS will broadcast a one hour special of the retail event that takes place globally in 13 cities.

CBS will mash all that footage into a program to air September 15, 2010.

So don't fret if you live in Watchamacallit, Kansas; as long as you have access to a TV, you can catch Anna Wintour and Mayor Bloomberg offer sound bites throughout the program for your inner fashionisto.

Gaspard Ulliel is an actor and he is inked as the face for Chanel's unnamed men's fragrance that debuts in September.

Lagerfeld recruited director Martin Scorsese to film the ad.

We only ask is Gaspard Unkle Karl's new muse? Why didn't he use Baptiste? Did Baps get kicked to the curb like Brad??

KEY LOOKS:

Long johns at Commonwealth Utilities, designed by Anthony Keegan and Richard Christiansen.

Beautiful Chad White was the lead model, opening the show.

Masculine was the key word of the collection.

Keegan opined:

"We want men not boys....Wouldn’t you? I don’t want skinny boys. I like kind of fit, athletic men. If I was in the mountain and if I needed to, like, have someone chop wood, I’d want one of those model guys to come out and be able to do it"

SAY WHAT?

Donna Karan is not the only one frustrated with competitors knocking off her wares.

John Varvatos adds his two cents:

“We have people that come in our store and spend $20,000, and then we get their credit card and we see that they’re with another designer or a vertical retail store.....Oh, I won’t mention other brands, but when other brands come in and it has their name on the credit card, and they’re buying $20,000 or $10,000 worth of your stuff, or every bag you make, or twelve shoes and they don’t care what size it is, you know they’re knocking it off,”.

To add salt to the wound, he surmises:

“If they stop coming here to buy it and they’re going to somebody else, you’re no longer the hot person. When people stop knocking me off, that means we’re not the relevant people anymore.”

WINTOUR'S WORLD

MOVE THAT DATE, BITCHES!

Anna Wintour wants to attend the Oscars and she can't be bothered being halfway around the world in Milan attending fashion shows.

The VOGUE EIC asked that designers jumble their schedule to accommodate her planned trip of two days, February 26-28.

Quips a terse Mario Boselli, President of the Italian Fashion Chamber, about demanding design houses to rearrange their appointments: it "has bad consequences for many, many people involved in the shows, from stylists to models to hairdressers. It's absolutely crazy. She's welcome in Milan but if she only comes for a fleeting visit, perhaps it would be better is she stayed at home."

We forgot... this is AnnER's world, we're just the supporting cast!!
