BLACK OR PURPLE LABEL

DNR reports that Polo Ralph Lauren wants to open freestanding Black or Purple label stores.

These labels do well under the Polo Ralph Lauren umbrella thus the company wants to break them out as separate retail concepts.

Wayne Meicher, president and COO of Polo Ralph Lauren's Retail Group, quips "we're familiar with operating stores of different scales."
