Renzo Rosso, the owner of Diesel, is set to take controlling stake in Victor & Rolf, the label of Dutch duo Viktor Horsting and rolf Snoeren.
On Tuesday, Only the Brave, Russo's Italian holding company will announce the new venture.
This will give V/R some deep pockets to continue lots of seasons ahead.
As reports The International Herald Tribune:
"My dream is to represent a fresh, modern group for the future - I don't look for establishment designers but someone with important creativity and Viktor & Rolf are the expression of my luxury," Rosso said in a telephone interview on Monday. As chairman of OTB, which had revenues last year of €1.3 billion, or $1.95 billion, Rosso already controls Dsquared, Maison Martin Margiela and Sophia Kokosalaki, and manufactures Vivienne Westwood's leading lines.
